Yes. Paystack works worldwide. But your bank might be blocking the transaction. Mostly the bank might send you an email about someone trying to use your card outside the country. So approve the email, or speak to your bank about it.

It means the bank issuing the mastercard is not enrolled in the Mastercard secure code, which is supposed to send you a verification email to approve before the transaction takes place. Try another payment option or use another card. You can also ask your bank about Mastercard secure code.

This is how payment works If you pay with MoMo and you are to be deducted, there will be a MoMo transaction ID that will be updated. So if you want to change to a VISA card, you first need to have a VISA Card transaction ID that will be updated. Else any deduction will be made on your MoMo since that is what we have a record for.

SO PLEASE DO THIS: Change from the previous payment option to the desired one by making payment with the desired payment option some few days (1 day or 2 days) before your billing cycle (1, 3, 6 or 12) month(s) of the previous payment option transaction will be automatically deducted again. You can find your date of registration on your profile page. (Note that your date of registration may not necessarily be the date you made the first payment because some people faced payment issues and were only able to pay some day(s) later after registration. Please consult us via LIVE Support on http://fabucensus.com if you’re in doubt.)

At times a transaction hits our database a day or days after it has succeeded on the actual day it was supposed to get billed. Hence, it may take some time for your transaction to reflect in our system. Once it does, your dashboard will be automatically updated.

The Fabu Census is about two main processes: Registering All Kotoko Supporters, and enabling supporters to pay monthly contributions to the club.

When a supporter commences registration and his details are input into the Fabu Census system, he is countered as Registered (Unpaid) and not issued Kotoko Number until he makes first Supporter Type/ Dues Payment. As usual with several payment projects, several users on reaching payment decide to make payment later or abandon the process. However, we constantly engage these supporters to assist them to complete registration.

There are many who have had transaction issues because of one or more of these

  • MTN or Vodafone prompt never showed
  • MTN or Vodafone hasn't yet generated their Approval so even if they try manual approval they don't have any Pending approval
  • Users outside Ghana save with Banks that have not authorised VISA Card / Mastercard
  • MoMo does not work outside Ghana in some countries
  • For some reason(s) yet to be diagnosed some user's transactions always become failed

Rest assured we’re looking to solve all these issues.

Membership to Fabu Census requires that one pays monthly dues. To that effect, every supporter is expected to make payment.

The reason we have numerous unpaid supporters is answered in the preceding question.

MTN MoMo Users

The system will automatically deduct based on your billing cycle. We urge all MTN users to wait for the automatic deduction at the end of every month or your monthly billing cycle, and not initiate manual payment of dues to prevent double deductions.

Other Networks, Zeepay and VISA/Mastercard Users

There are no auto deductions. You should initiate payment yourself at the end of your Billing Cycle (Number of months: 1, 3, 6, 12).

You can find your Billing Cycle on 'My Profile' page.

We have noticed some irregular deductions on Mobile Money wallets of some supporters. We urge all supporters who have experienced this to kindly send a screenshot of the deduction and your Mobile money number to whatsapp line 0599210021 and 0256695598 for urgent REFUNDS to your Mobile Money wallets.
